The theme of the 22nd Gainesville Latino Film Festival, “Voices of Our Land”, reflects the urgent need to listen to the stories of people, communities, and ecosystems whose voices remind us of our shared responsibility to care for the world we inhabit.

“Voices of Our Land” celebrates individuals and communities who advocate for the preservation of cultural heritage, the protection of natural resources, and the pursuit of a more just and sustainable society. The films encourage meaningful dialogue about environmental conservation, civic responsibility, human rights, and the power of collective action to create positive change.

Through “Voices of Our Land”, the Latina Women’s League reaffirms its commitment to using the arts as a catalyst for education, cultural appreciation, and community empowerment—reminding us that every voice has the power to shape the future of our land and our society.
