Clara is a young Quechua woman growing up in a remote community in the Bolivian Andes, where her adoptive mother has taught her the ancestral traditions of midwifery and sacred songs used during childbirth. Gifted with a remarkable voice, Clara dreams of leaving the mountains behind to pursue a career as a folkloric singer in the city. As she is drawn toward a different future, she must confront the tension between personal freedom and the traditions, responsibilities, and spiritual bonds that connect her to her community.
