Our Story

The Latina Women’s League is dedicated to contributing to Latino/Hispanic/Latinx education, culture and art in Gainesville by building outreach programs in education, culture and civics.

Since 2005, the Gainesville Latino Film Festival has showcased hundreds of groundbreaking, critically acclaimed, and thought-provoking films from across Latin America. In 2025, our mission remains the same: to provide Gainesville with the rare opportunity to experience world-class cinema, cutting-edge shorts, and international award winners, while fostering diverse connections that unite people through the power of film. Our vision is to establish Gainesville as a vibrant cultural destination.
